HISTORY:Fifty years ago Michele Cornacchia and Margherita De Iorio started their production of the finest varieties of grapes in the heart of Irpinia, in Campania, selecting vineyards located in the most famous sites and with exceptional pedoclimatic qualities for a current extension of about 45 hectares, planted with Greco di Tufo, Fiano di Avellino, Coda di Volpe, Falanghina and Aglianico grapes from which is used to produce prestigious Taurasi wine.THE CONSORTIUM AND THE HISTORIA ANTIQUA BRANDThe HISTORIA ANTIQUA brand was born in 2006.The company produces highly prized wines, highly refined grappas, a limited quantity of extra virgin olive oil and a white and Rose' Brut sparkling wine (HAQ) from Aglianico grapes.The company is the winner of prestigious national and international awards every year.THE PROJECT:Our company project aims to develop the concept of biodiversity by identifying wine and territory.The Historia Antiqua wines are the expression of the territory and, with the aim of favoring the varietal aromatic characteristics and, through the vinification techniques, depending on the grape, optimize the aging and aging potential of the wines.WINESHistoria Antiqua offers a wide range of wines:three DOCG, Fiano di Avellino, Greco di Tufo and Taurasi also in Magnum version;three DOC, Irpinia Aglianico, Irpinia Coda di Volpe and Irpinia Falanghina; four IGT, Campania Falanghina, Campania Aglianico, Campania Greco, Campania Fiano.The main productive sector is the viticulture, in fact in the company there is a processing room in which the entire wine production is processed, at present only for the sparkling process is resorted to the use of an extra company structure. Another important production is the olive grove, in this case the company sells extra virgin olive oil completely produced with its own olives that are harvested, brought to the mill and milled in one day.The vineyards have an average age of 18 years with a production of 85 ql / ha. SPARKLING WINE Vinified in purity from our Aglianico grapes, HAQ is a sparkling wine suitable for any occasion. Fresh and lively, it is a perfect aperitif or a refined companion for seafood dishes. It perfectly concludes any lunch paired with desserts and dry pastries. In 2019 a Rose' sparkling wine was produced, always with our Aglianico grapes. THE GRAPPAFrom the meeting with the prestigious Nannoni Distillery in Paganico (Grosseto) Historia Antiqua produces three Grappa from Greco di Tufo, Aglianico and Fiano di Avellino marcs. In classic version and aged for at least 18 months in barrique. EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OILProduced in limited quantities it is a very delicate oil, with a unique taste to be tasted mainly raw, obtained from the cold pressing of olives of the Ogliarola, Leccino and Ravece varieties. As for the grapes also the olives are harvested by hand. Cold pressing takes place daily to leave perfumes and taste intact. For this reason we obtain a high quality product that perfectly meets the canons of the Mediterranean diet.PACKAGINGThe sale is carried out mainly in boxes of 6 bottles. The other possibilities consist of packages in boxes of two and three bottles; packages with wooden boxes for three and six bottles. Magnum packaging in wooden box. Wooden box for one and two bottles and natural wooden cases for a bottle of wine. Grappas can also be sold in single bottles with relative cans, as well as HAQ sparkling wine.
